so, Listen. i am a mexican latina. it may or may not be news to you, but i am, and as such, the rampant pastel/bright as hell aesthetic that has taken over tumblr and, consequently, rp, has resulted in many a headache for me, as most of the time, poc end up whitewashed in result of this trend, and i’ve noticed that this is particularly a problem with icons and also aesthetic posts. so, from the salt and Goodness of my heart, i’ve decided to make some psds for you guys!! as you can see from the examples, i’ve tried my best to incorporate some pastel-y things, but my main goal for these psds were to make sure that the beautiful darker skin tones of the people in them were kept and not sacrificed for an aesthetic. while the psds will likely have to be altered depending on person, show/movie, and lighting, they are very easy to edit and most of them even look nice on people that aren’t poc!

it would be nice if you could credit me if you end up using any of them, though it’s not necessary, but i do ask that you don’t claim them as your own! i worked hard on making these and would appreciate that be respected :* please give this a like/reblog if you download, and enjoy!!
